Vivira’s Technology and their Dutch partner Water Knight have won the Imagine Chemistry Challenge in Europe

Module has received the Grand Challenges Canada (GCC)

Module Innovations Pvt. Ltd. , a resident incubatee of Venture Center has won Grand Challenge Canada “Stars in Global health” award of 100,000 CAD. Module Innovations proposes to develop a rapid, simple and low-cost strip for early screening of cervical cancer at the point-of-care.

A total of 13 ideas from India have been selected for the grants out of 100 selected globally. Grand Challenges Canada will invest over 10 million Canadian dollar to test new ideas to address challenges in women and children health in developing countries. Funded by the Government of Canada and other partners, Grand Challenges Canada supports innovators in low- and middle-income countries and Canada. The bold ideas Grand Challenges Canada supports integrate science and technology, social and business innovation – known as Integrated Innovation.

Module Innovations Pvt Ltd-a resident incubatee of Venture Center has won India Innovation Growth Program (IIGP) 2.0.
 Out of 1300 applications 50 were shortlisted. Among 50, only 10 were awarded a prize of 25 lakhs by Shri YS Chowdhary. Module Innovation is one of the 10 winners to have won the prize of 25 Lakhs.

India’s first bus fuelled by NobleExchange flagged off

India’s first bus fuelled on Bio CNG (processed from city waste)  supplied by Venture Center’s resident incubatee NobleExchnage  was flagged off by the Hon’able Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas at the event held during Bio Energy Urja Utsav at Balewadi Stadium, Pune on 7-8 July 2017. The successful launch of “city waste – city bus” program at Pune is the first of its kind initiative outside of Sweden to be adopted at large scale customer level.

NobleExchange’s effort was well supported by Tata Motors that presented the entire range of commercial vehicles developed and certified good to fuel on Bio CNG from City Waste. One of India’s largest IT company – Infosys – also made a presentation regarding their decision & business case to shift all vehicles used for staff transport exclusively to be fuelled on Bio CNG supplied by NobleExchange.

 

Swayam Shikshan Prayog declared as winner of Equator Prize 2017 by UNDP

Venture Center graduated incubatee Swayam Shikshan Prayog has been declared as one of the 15 winners of the Equator Prize 2017 by UNDP from 806 nominations from 120 countries for its women led climate resilient agro-ecological farming model which has empowered more than 72,000 women in the Marathwada region of India.

The event was organized by the President’s office as part of a week being celebrated at Rashtrapati Bhavan as “Festival of Innovation”. The startup companies had the opportunity to interact with a dozen Venture Capital firms that were also invited to the event and to present their company and were felicitated by the President of India. CSIR labs NCL and IGIB sign Licensing agreement with Ahammune Biosciences for Vitiligo drug development

CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune and CSIR- Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB), New Delhi together signed a Patent Licensing agreement with Ahammune Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., Pune for Vitiligo drug development on March 2, 2017. Ahammune is a resident incubatee company of Venture Center.

Ahammune Biosciences is an innovation-led drug discovery start-up company with the vision to find a new drug for the debilitating skin disorder, Vitiligo. It is the most common depigmenting disease with over 80 million people affected by it.

Venture Center’s associate incubatee “Cellzyme Biotech” has won Elevator Pitch Competition (EPC) award at Massachusetts Institute of technology – Global Startup Workshop, MIT GSW 2016 held in Hyderabad. The award was presented to Cellzyme on 23 March 2016, by Dr. R. Chidambaram, Principal Scientific Advisor to Government of India.

Swasti Agro & Bioproducts Pvt Ltd wins Times Network “Digital India Award”

Venture Center’s associate incubatee “Swasti Agro & Bioproducts Pvt Ltd” won the award in category “Good for India” in Subcategory “Agriculture”.

In its second edition, the Times Network Digital India Summit garnered overwhelming response and support from all stakeholders, and to bolster the path-breaking endeavor further, the network presented the first ever Digital India Awards 2016 which recognized and honored the tenacious efforts by individuals and organizations in the social and corporate world that are harnessing the power of IT to transform business processes, improve delivery of public services and create a positive impact on society.

Woman entrepreneur Ms. Amrita Sukrity became the pitch winner at Villgro’s Unconvention|L

Venture Center’s SIIP Fellow Ms. Amrita Sukrity  became the pitch winner and received a cash prize of Rs 1,50,000/- at the Villgro’s Unconvention|L event held on March 12, 2016 at the MCCIA Trade Tower.

Villgro saw over 120 attendees for the event and received over 100 applications for the business plan pitch, of whom six finalists presented their plans to an expert jury who selected one winner – Spittle, which is developing point-of-care diagnostics for neonates

Embryyo Technologies has been selected for showcase at the Rashtrapati Bhawan during the ‘Festival of Innovations’

Venture Center’s resident incubatee ” Embryyo Technologies Pvt Ltd” has been selected for showcase at the Rashtrapati Bhawan during the ‘Festival of Innovations’. The company will be showcasing their  drug adherence monitoring technology called “TBCCTV Real time drug adherence monitoring for tuberculosis patients”. The showcase is hosted by ICMR.

Genrich Membranes Pvt Ltd, a Venture Center’s resident incubatee startup promoted by Dr Ulhas Kharul-Scientist NCL, based on his oxygen enrichment membrane technology has bagged the Wish Healthcare Foundation Innovation Award as the “Most Promising Prototype of Scale Up”.
The company is a spin-off from Lab2Mkt program of Venture Center.
