Ather Energy, co-founded by two IIT graduates Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain has launched India’s first smart e-scooter. Ather Energy is member of Venture Center’s Ignition member.

India’s first bus fuelled on Bio CNG (processed from city waste) supplied by Venture Center’s resident incubatee NobleExchnage was flagged off by the Hon’able Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas at the event held during Bio Energy Urja Utsav at Balewadi Stadium, Pune on 7-8 July 2017. The successful launch of “city waste – city bus” program at Pune is the first of its kind initiative outside of Sweden to be adopted at large scale customer level.
NobleExchange’s effort was well supported by Tata Motors that presented the entire range of commercial vehicles developed and certified good to fuel on Bio CNG from City Waste. One of India’s largest IT company – Infosys – also made a presentation regarding their decision & business case to shift all vehicles used for staff transport exclusively to be fuelled on Bio CNG supplied by NobleExchange.
Venture Center’s resident incubatee “Actorius innovatios Pvt Ltd” has published a manuscript titled “Biofunctionalized Capillary Flow Channel Platform Integrated with 3D Nanostructured Matrix to Capture Circulating Tumor Cells” in “Advanced Materials Interface”. The editor of the journal has invited this manuscript as Journal’s ‘Cover page’.
In addition, this research has been highly covered by Times Of India, Indian Express and PTI and many other agencies including Maharashtra Times (some PDFs attached). Nature India has highlighted this work as well.
