Ather launches smart e-scooter

Ather Energy, co-founded by two IIT graduates Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain has launched India’s first smart e-scooter. Ather Energy is member of Venture Center’s Ignition member.

Vivira’s Technology and their Dutch partner Water Knight have won the Imagine Chemistry Challenge in Europe

Rahul Dahule and Ranjeet Utikar (from VIVIRA) from Dutch start-up Water Knight were awarded for their advanced oxidation reactor technology, which is used for intensifying wastewater treatment in industries with complex effluents.

Module has received the Grand Challenges Canada (GCC)

Module Innovations Pvt. Ltd. , a resident incubatee of Venture Center has won Grand Challenge Canada “Stars in Global health” award of 100,000 CAD. Module Innovations proposes to develop a rapid, simple and low-cost strip for early screening of cervical cancer at the point-of-care.

A total of 13 ideas from India have been selected for the grants out of 100 selected globally. Grand Challenges Canada will invest over 10 million Canadian dollar to test new ideas to address challenges in women and children health in developing countries. Funded by the Government of Canada and other partners, Grand Challenges Canada supports innovators in low- and middle-income countries and Canada. The bold ideas Grand Challenges Canada supports integrate science and technology, social and business innovation – known as Integrated Innovation.
